    What We’re Looking for

    It doesn’t matter whether you’re an established author or a first-timer. The most important thing is that you care passionately about something that you understand deeply, and you want to share that passion with other people.

    Here we are at dadpal, we look for new writers and fresh story ideas all the time, but it's a cold, hard look. To fulfill our mission to educate and entertain, we want more than the best--we want the best test.

    In your pitch, be sure to:

    Write in the style of the magazine

    1. Clearly state the angle of your story
    2. Give us a sense of its length and structure
    3. Explain how you intend to report the story, including any sources you plan to contact
    4. Tell us about yourself and your experience
    5. Come up with a working title for your article, and include it as the subject line of the email

    Here at dadpal, we get thousands of article ideas pitched to us. And often we see very similar pitches from multiple writers. We are sorry that if we do not publish your story or we just compile the story together if we found there are too many author writing the similar pitches.
